Legal details
Attach:rot_en.gif Δ For security reasons you should always logout. If you do not logout, the next person to use your computer can move about in Stud.IP using your identity.
The top line accompanies you through all pages of the system. It doesn’t matter what you are doing right now, or where you got lost – the top line helps you find where you are at any time. On the bar are different symbols. Each symbol can be clicked on with the cursor – you reach a different page within the system. Some symbols are changing their colour to display changes, like the symbol for the ’’Chat’’ or for ’’Who is online?’’ The symbols in detail:
With this symbol you are able to reach your start page from any page in the system.
Most frequently you will need the page in Stud.IP for the selection of your courses. In order to reach this page fast, we placed a link into the top line.
By pressing this symbol you reach the Stud.IP intern messaging system. Here you can send messages to other users of the system. These intersystem messages have the same functionality as emails. User, who are online, get the email immediately just like SMS on mobile telephones. If you get a news let, the symbol is blinking red.
You are able to chat with other people, who are online right now at Stud.IP! You enter the chat area with one click on this symbol.
If someone is already in the chat area the icon changes colour:
If you stay with the mouse on the activated chat icon for a while, you receive a display, how many persons are in the global chat area right now.
This icon shows you, how many persons are online in the system besides you. If the icon stays grey, only you are online. But if it changes the colour to red
you are not alone anymore in the system. To see how many persons are online, you have to stay on the icon with the mouse pointer (not every browser shows it). With on click at the symbol you reach an overview, where you can directly see who is online. From there you can send other users an intersystem message or an invitation to chat.
The timetable administers your personal and your job-related appointment, remind of birthdates, shows dates of courses and much more. In addition, you have the opportunity to browse in the Stud.IP archive — all courses are archived. The key data are accessible to anyone (subject, lecturer, etc.); however, extended information or the uploaded term papers are only available to those who actually participated in the course (thus those who were enrolled in it).
