Stud.IP stores as little data as possible. In “open” systems (on which you perform the registration yourself) you only need state your last name, first name and email address. In “closed“ systems this data originates from a central directory service.

All other details are voluntary. All data are normally used only in Stud.IP and only displayed to other registered users. Exceptions can exist for lecturers and assistants, information such as office hours may possibly be shown outside of Stud.IP. Your local Stud.IP support team (can be reached via Legal details) will be glad to give you information on which data are used where in the scope of the privacy protection policy of your educational institution.

If you do not wish for anyone to see your personal profile page in Stud.IP, you can also hide yourself.
